I'm currently a student pilot in Martinsburg, WV and have always been interested in Ercoupes and have done quite a bit of research into them via the web, so have most of the basics. I am definantly interested in picking one up after I get my license, but my question is how long a checkout would a relatively new pilot need to be competent to fly one and in addition, since I weigh around 210, is it even possible to get checked out in anything other then a D or later model? And I would be definantly be interested in getting checked out in one if there are any CFI's with Ercoupes within an hour or two of DC.
