Does anyone know what the applicability of SB-41
is to later
model nose gears, as in Forney.
The references do not list aircraft serial
numbers, but say the
mods should have been made to later model
aircraft.
However, my Forney gear does not include any of
the mods (extra
oil circulation holes and air holes in the outer
strut) that are included
in the SB. However it is an Ercoupe SB
which would mean it would
predate by 1960 coupe.
As well, has anyone done the nose gear mods. It
looks like the work
would be best done by a machine
shop.
Finally, has anyone had to replace the outer
strut. Any idea what is
included in the kits from Univair?
Thanks once again.
