Dennis, Sure hope you aren't underinsured. An adjusted can sometimes see that repairs can take the value of the policy and total the airplane. Then they sell the carcass for 60% of the insured amount and only end up paying a moderate amount out of pocket. And you're out a very valuable recently restored airplane. If anything it's better to slightly overinsure your plane to be sure such things don't happen. You might want to call John Wright, Sr., and ask what it'd take to re-skin the sections that need it. Then you'll have info to counter the adjuster in case he gets carried away (and wants to carry away your baby). Good luck.
