Hey Coupers, Wait til you hear this.I've been trying to figure out how to approach this header tank leak so that I'm not stuck with the plane apart and no options other than the field that I'm at (they suck and are total rip offs) I'm leary to fly it cuz it's dangerous so I look and prod and everything points to the filler neck So I removed the cowl and doors and kept inspecting the neck I got a mirror to see inside and low and behold the sun lite came tru the neck there was a verticle crack in the neck about 3/4 " long just where you could not see it So I sanded the neck cleaned it with Acetone and scuffed it up really good and Acetoned it again and I applied J B Weld to it I'm letting it cure for a day before I truly declare the fix but it looks like this Is it guys.It sucks being grounded .I'm hoping this will work>I can't figure out how a verticle crack happened.There seems to be a brass reinforcement ring around the neck too and it was cracked thru too.Dennis 99564 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
