No, not Emergency Medical Technician, but Emergency Maneuver Training. Even for Coupers, a good thing to do. From Rich Stowell http://www.richstowell.com/ , who is one of the best CFIs living. He transitioned me to tailwheels in four hours (straight) and neither of us broke a sweat. This time, it was rolls. I'm just in from doing a few dozen aileron rolls in a Super Decathlon. Along with a spin or two, and a few unusual attitude recoveries (power...push... roll to the sky). You know how some people make it look easy when they do it? Rich makes it seem easy when you do it, and you can do it forever. If you are going to be in Southern California, book some time with this guy (WAY in advance). We're lucky to have him come out to NJ to see family every year, so we Easterners get a break on the lead time. Which exceeds a year, in some cases. Only problem is...this flying upside down thing is addictive, especially now that I've gotten over the inclination to toss my cookies. Even if during MY aileron rolls, the cup of coffee on the glare shield ends up on the headliner.
