Hi Folks, Dann Shively, from Sacramento, CA, sent me a story telling the tale of his father in 1948, who solo'd an Ercoupe after less than an hour of dual instruction. Sure this sounds like one of those dubious tales you may have heard ( may have told) hanging around the airport when the weather was too bad to fly. But this one is complete with a newspaper clipping from 1948 to back up the story.
