Well since today is the 100th anniversary of powered flight I decided
that I MUST fly today. As I turned onto runway 30R at Chandler field in
Fresno I gently pushed coupe 93443's throttle in. Acceleration was
smooth, and I was pushed back deep into my seat. Watching the airspeed I
rotated, feeling the acceleration as I climbed rapidly through 5, 6, 7,
10, 11, 15000 feet. Pulling my throttle back out of afterburner I felt
the coupe settle back........... oh wait- that was the F-16 I watched
take off.

Actually, the takeoff was pretty smooth and I was actually getting about
800 fpm climb because it's nice and cool here in Fresno. Skies are clear
and it really felt good to celebrate the 100th anniv by flying.

Did anyone else go up today?
