For the first three months, she would not come to Florida with me,
always saying "it is YOUR condo". Finally, on the fourth month, I
told her I really needed her input on decorating. I had arranged for
a decorator to be there and I REALLY needed her help.
Well, she was quite impressed with the place. I think she was
anticipating a dirt strip with a couple of broken down trailers. She
and the decorator went to town and made it look great. Now it is OUR
place. My fear is that in the future, it will be HER place!

Ain't it great to have a fine wife! Years ago a friend told me,
"Beach, you've got a great wife - she puts up with you." Now she is
wholeheartedly supporting my Coupe Caper despite the fact that she
doesn't trust it the way she trusted the Cessna 172 that belongs to the
Quonset Aero Club (which I founded in 1993 and still am president) -
this summer I was promoted to Sport Pilot and reckoned that the 415-C
was the most bang-for-the-buck. I do like that old plane and I think
Mrs. B will come around as I gain hours, expertise and an interior (any
other used interiors going begging - sides & rug in particular?).
Best to all in this season of limited day VFR and rough weather.
