Matt -

You've got a pickle of a situation because of the 3 years of neglect and no
maintenance. Selling it on ebay is a bad idea, I think.

You get no protection from a buyer who is ignorant, hunting for a bargain,
buys your plane, then gets stung with unexpected costs of putting it back in
service.

Is it in a part of California where it's dry, or on the coast? Big
difference for corrosion potential.

Do you have a family lawyer who can draw up a document to make the sale
as-is, with all of the needed disclaimers?

Do you at least have a friend at the airport where it's located who could
handle the sale for you?

Is there a broker at or near that airport who specializes in smaller, single
engine airplanes, who would sell it for you?

In any event, I'd avoid the ebay type sale.

Jerry E.

Advise to be honest about the condition of the plane.
