Our own Jim Prosser has restored WWII gliders. He flies off Lenhardts in the lush Willamette Valley in Oregon. I do not have Jim's email top-of-head, but contact the Region 3 Director, Joey Simpson: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Give `em my regards. I am heading up a restoration project of a WWII WACO CG-4A invasion glider for a museum in Iron Mountain, MI. The responsibility of my team is the forward 24' of the fuselage. Other teams are doing the wings, the aft fuselage and the tail structure. Since we started we've had people call who have parts stored in attics, barns and garages that their grandfathers purchased after the war and just left there. Please pass the word around to your friends to find out if they have anything. We are also looking for information about the details of construction. Anything will be appreciated. I figure that this will be at least a 5 year project. I understand that the Silent Wings Museum that used to be located in Terrell, TX has moved to Lubbock, so I hope to hit that on the way home from the Ercoupe Nationals.
