After 57 years on this earth, I have finally achieved a major goal.  I now fly to work every day the weather's acceptable.  I live 80 miles from my job and  the commute takes and hour and half, but by Ercoupe it is only 50 min.  I used to look upon the commute as the price I was willing to pay to come home every night to the most wonderful wife in the world.  Now, I get the dividend of looking forward to the trip each and every day I can fly. I have a hangar at work and a hangar at home to keep the plane in.  I pay $70 for a 40 x 60 with bifold door at work and $60 for an open front enclosed T hangar at home.  I only fly home if the weather looks good the next morning.  I have my old pick-up truck in the home hangar to drive home (or to work the next morning if the weather doesn't cooperate).  I keep the Coupe in the enclosed hangar most of the time.  I know many people pay more than $130 for only one hangar, so I feel the double fee isn't too bad.  Life is great.  Smooth flight last night and this morning both.  I will be glad for daylight savings time.  It cuts it a little close to get home by twilight  on my sport license.

I sang my new favorite song.

"I Love Flyin To Work In The Mornin"

Written by: Fred Lamkey
Performed by: Fred Lamkey
Inspired by: Ann Lamkey and Ercoupe
(you notice I gave  Ann top billing over the airplane)
