You're welcome, Ken and Dr. B and Wayne. My pleasure (except for the
negative public reprimands my posts generated). I learned a long time
ago to never assume that everyone involved with an activity belonged to
every organization associated with it, or had time to keep up with all
the latest news.
Have any of you noticed that the Couper lists' website (
http://www.ercoupers.com ) seems to be down or at least inaccessible,
and that emails to the list have effectively stopped posting as of
mid-day today? I'm trying to access it to change my subscription from
N2141H to CAVU-Coupe, and I can't get the website to come up and
neither can my husband.

I'm glad to get your contributions, Susan. I particularly enjoyed the
one about getting scammed on an airplane buy. The terminally stupid,
like the poor, will always be with us. And there will always be some
sharp cookie to part them from their cash. Hope my suggestions for
protecting yourself during a transaction will help.
So some of your stuff is AOPA reprints? So what? Your short takes
are a lot more readable than a lot of their stuff. As a matter of
fact, your reference to tax consequences never appeared in the
magazine and I would have missed it on the web site. I NEED that
information right now so I appreciate you bringing it to my
attention.
