Hi Coupers!

Sun'n'Fun is now just a few weeks away. How many Coupers are planning to fly in so we know how large of a group of aircraft we'll have to try to get parked together in a hopefully convenient-to-all-amenities location?

We need to know NOW so we can hopefully make the group aircraft parking reservations. The Cubs are doing a 70th Anniversary flight in, and already have their group spots lined up, and we know from experience that many pilots fly down early in order to get good parking places and then volunteer their help to Sun'n'Fun to help get ready for the vast majority of arrivals.

With Syd on vacation in Hawaii and thus out of touch until just before time to depart Wisconsin for their group flight down, I don't have the means to easily determine how many aircraft will be in his group, or how many other aircraft are planning to fly in from other areas, without help from y'all.

If you will all please share your plans to fly in and desire to join the rest of the group in aircraft parking so the Coupes are better show-cased to Sun'n'Fun visitors (and to more easily enjoy socializing with fellow Coupers), then perhaps Lynn can get in touch with the Sun'n'Fun authorities to arrange in advance for the group parking, since he lives near to Sun'n'Fun. I've been too tied up with other matters to check into this before now ...

Lynn, can you please help with this?

Also, for those of you who would like to attend Sun'n'Fun but don't have an aircraft to fly in, Sun'n'Fun does offer a service on its website to match up pilots looking for passengers with passengers looking for a ride: http://www.sun-n-fun.org/content/news/story.asp? newsid=193&section=yearround&body=news

There's also a similar service, offered by a non-Sun'n'Fun group called Pilot Share The Ride.com:

Here's some info on Sun'n'Fun in today's AvFlash e-newsletter about WiFi being available "campus wide" at Sun'n'Fun for those of you with computers who'd like to be able to stay in touch with business, etc. while down enjoying the "Aviation Fun in the Sun" as well as other things to expect:

So, Coupers, can we please all take a moment and figure out how many aircraft we can easily expect? And yes, we know that it all depends on your aircraft being airworthy for the journey in time, weather-permitting, and all that ...

Thanks for your help with this!

Susan
