I'm not" in charge" of any Couper activities at Sun 'n' Fun. I also recognize that many of you know a lot more about the details than I do. Nevetheless, I have attended the afffair more than a few times and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, there are always a few pilots who don't read the instructions, don't know exactly where they are or what they are supposed to be doing at a given time. Suffice it to say, you CANNOT(safely) play "follow the leader", nor can you participate without a good, working tranciever. I was on the ground in a parking area several years ago and watched two incoming , attendee airplanes collide on short final - instant deaths! I have just downloaded the FAA Sun 'n' Fun NOTAM (Notice to Airmen). It is a magnificent document, 36 pages (many in color) in length, and has been getting better each year. I highly recommend it as "required reading" for any of you who contemplate or intend to fly to Lakeland. It could save your life (and mine). You can find it at www.sun-n-fun.org
