OK, I'll try some of my 60 wt tuna monofilament, PROVIDING that you can assure me I won't be strangled while my cap twirls round and round above my( purple) face! Maybe a stapler would work better?

I have solved the problem of the loss of hats.

Of course I never lost my greasy old AOPA cap, but no soon as I got some
made with my tail number on it, out the window they go. Either worn or floating
around loose in the baggage compartment.
Now I have a four foot length of fishing line attached to the back of the
caps and a fishing line clasp on the other and it is attached to the eyelets in
the baggage compartment. (no Dennis, not a fish hook).
Headphones keep them firmly on but if they do get blown off they don't fly
away.
Now I do have to remember to take the hat off when leaving the plane or I
will get my head jerked around when I try to jump off the wing.
