Marty & all,
Why is it that airplanes, motorcycles, and sports cars seem to 'go together'?

For the rush! That delicious feeling of the wind in our faces, of feeling that rush of speed as the wind pushes against us, the feeling of power as we push back against the wind, of feeling that sense of delicious freedom they all tend to give us! But the best part with an Ercoupe is that we are up and above all that road traffic down below, and can easily go cross-country with a feeling of nothing can stop us, and no speeding tickets to have to worry about <grin> ...

BTW, Cross-country racing on the back of a fast athletic willing horse, jumping anything that gets in the way without any sense of slowing down, gives the same feeling of speed and freedom and flying like the wind. That's what initially got me hooked as a very young teenager on the adrenaline rush of speed and freedom and the love of the wind in my face - motorcycles, sports cars, and small aircraft came later as a natural evolution - I felt like I was low-level flying, and to this day drive my car as if I'm low-level flying .
