The Congressman from our district has an aid visit each of the
smaller towns once a month. I took advantageg of that visit today
to voice my opinion about the user fee issue. While I was not the
first to address this issue, the aid did say that I had a slightly
differnet approach.

I took a sectional in with me and pointed out how many little
circles there were on that map as opposed to the 1 airport that
supported commercial flights. After that I explained how many
aircraft each of the circles represented and for the clincher,
explained that each aircraft repreasented at least 10 votes.

Just for icing, I explained some of the "features" of the European
system that some folks seem to want to duplicate and then directer
the aid to the AOPA website and video about a flight in Europe. At
the end I couldn't resist adding, "And oh, by the way, the
organization that produced the video represents about 450000 votes."

I think there is at least one Congressman who will get a message
about how at least one of his constituents feels.

Folks, this thing isn't dead yet. Keep writing, calling, emailing,
and visiting.

Tommy
