I remember someone was working on installing a Franklin 4A-235 engine in
an Ercoupe. It mounts uses the same mounts and such as the
Continentals... 115HP for the 8.5:1 ratio standard setup, or 145HP for
the 11:1 ratio high compression piston setup if I recall correctly. The
8.5:1 allows for auto fuel while the 11:1 would require 100LL.

Looking at Franklin's website, they are selling a new engine for $6900.
That's pretty good. I could live with with the 1500 hr TBO at that
price.

Does anyone know if there is a Lycoming 85 - 100 hp engine that is
approved for use in an ercoupe?
