Good letter. I would suggest pointing out that the 1400 lb gross  
weight is an FAA approved "upgrade" of the same airplane as the 1320 and
is not opening LSA up to another aircraft. The other criteria for LSA  
continues to preserve the intent of the regulation. Might also point out
that current 1320 limits the ability for dual instruction that is  
another safety issue...especially since the Ercoupe (rudderless and  
tricycle) is
much different than most other LSA aircraft.
