Camping is probably the best time you'll have, but my idea of a good campground
is when the maid service is available! ;-) I've camped at OSH with the Bonanza
group and it's indeed cool, but for the last 3 years I've been staying at the
dorms. Nice, private and dry room with a good hot shower and great meals
available. The University has taken a lesson from the EAA and jacks those
prices up during the week, but what the hell, it's OSKOSH!
Forget about hotels unless you want to go far out of town, then you'll need to
rent a car (real big $'s that week) then pony up for gas and parking. You're
already going to pay for camping when you leave the airplane there. You should
be able to get into the dorms if you need to, but as Syd says, don't wait too
long. Bus service at the college is available to and from the airport every
1/2 hour for a very nominal fee, and there is also taxi service.

Darick,
A lot of us camp with the planes, but if you are going to stay at a motel
or dorm you'd better reserve a room right away. Most rooms are reserved
already.

Anybody have a recommendation for lodging at Oshkosh? Do the coupers have
a favorite motel or do most camp on site? Last year I stayed at the college
campus in (I forget the name) about 20 minutes away.
