In 1946/7/8 I viewed a Movietone news repease of an
Ercoupe being decended with a parachute. Wish I could
fine the clip. The Movietone news films are at The
University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. Here is
one of the listings about Roscoe Turner landing in a
bi-plane using a parachute, in 1928 !
Hope we can get a SC EWrcouper to visit USC and find
the Ercoupe clip. I couldn't find it on line, but do
remmeber it. I expect it was in 1946, but could have
been 1947, 0r 48.
