First off, Robert, you present a valuable lesson. The airplane does
not care what you've flown previously, nor how good you were at it.
Take offs in the `coupe can be interesting. Some crosswind tricks:
* keep the plane on the ground as long as you can with slight forward
yoke. Then Rotate Smartly when somewhat above flying speed. Practice
this in calm winds so you are ready when the time arrives.
* Instead of going straight down the runway, angle into the wind.
Like if a right crosswind is indicated by the sock, go to the left
corner of the departure area.
* If you do get a wing up, hit the break. That will bring it down for
another attempt.
