Paul Berge is (in his own words):
New Jersey native, flight instructor, former FAA air traffic controller
and author of "Bootleg Skies," "Inside The Circle," "Ailerona," "Artie
Azzetti and Me--Life At St. Anthony's Elementary," and "Zen and the Art
of Pumpkin Bombing or Why my UCSC Education Wasn't a Compleat Waste of Time"

He has several web site and blogs which he publicizes widely in hopes of
selling articles and books. See more by him about him at:
http://paulbergeaviationstories.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

I'm not sure exactly what he is. He owns a Champ and seems to be a
member of the Antique Aircraft Association.

None of which makes him a good writer, a factual writer, or worth
bothering about. Nor does it make him Mr. Bertorelli.
