The Coupe got no respect when it was built, and that continues to this day. For sure the 415 model with its LSA classification has been noticed by guys with medical problems and it has increased in value. Nevertheless the old rumors and snickering remain. Real pilots respect all airplanes. A U2 pilot and I are still trying to meet up so he can get a ride in my Aircoupe.something he's wanted to do for a while. So the knowledgeable guys are out there.
As for Flying mag, who cares. It has declined so much I won't accept it for free. Collins and McClellan are utterly full of themselves and haven't changed their mind about anything since the Eisenhower administration.
