Celebrating 100 Years of Flight At College Park Airport: Home of our beloved ERCO Ercoupes!
AirFair 100! will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 10 AM to 5 PM at College Park Airport. This year's events, including an exciting air show featuring aerobatic performances, celebrate 100 years of flight at College Park Airport. Helicopter and airplane rides will be featured, along with aircraft displays, children's activities, vendors, entertainment and refreshments. A 1909 Wright Military Flyer will be unveiled at the AirFair! Bring an envelope or post card and get a special airmail cancellation commemorating 100 years of exciting aviation history. It is a great airport to visit, but keep in mind that airpo rt is located within the Washington ADIZ and special arrangements are needed to operate at the airport. The sponsors of AirFair 100 are working on expedited approvals for pilots that want to fly into the airport.
