Seems these past few years that I have been one of those that have faired well with the (lack) of problems with my coupe. Beyond the normal Carb and Mag rebuild I've had to do I believe I have kept my operating cost(s) with-in my pocketbook. Well now I'm at the start of my yearly annual, I have also developed a minor leak in the header tank that showed the first of December. My A&P IA and I have removed the tank (not as bad a chore as 1st thought) along with most the avionics. I will now take this time to also fix or replace ect those small imperfections to make it a much nicer aircraft when all is said and done. A few items of those include, replacing the floorboards, rebuiding a couple avionics to make them more accurate. replacing the window slide welts, both slide windows, some interior upgrades, new cowling cam locks, and more. And have the orignal wheel pants repaired and ready for reinstallation (not yet a confirmed decision). After this go thru I have the intentions to invest in a new look for my coupe this spring as the existing paint has well out lived its former luster. When the 2010 Ercoupe Convention comes around I hope it looks presentable to you all as I park it front row center.
Now could some of you southern Coupers send alittle of your warmer temps up our way? as it's hard to keep the hanger warm in single digit weather. Keep the Blue Side Up, Kevin Lee N2583H (DVN)
