Alan you are right on with the model D landing. The
operations manual calls for 75mph to the numbers but most D owners believe 80mph
is a better number. I fly and land my D almost exactly as you have described.
The C model lands around ten miles an hour slower and will use less runway than
a D but the D will carry 1400lbs total weight and only 1260 for the C. Fred
