I was able to bring N94857 home from Illinois Monday thanks to Randy Hougham providing an excellent used cylinder and piston set FREE. He shipped it to Loren Winklemann at LORAVCO at the Bloomington, IL airport, who installed it for a VERY reasonable charge. Randy's cylinder tested at 76/80. Being on the receiving end of such kindness is wonderful and I will certainly do my part to "pay it forward" if I can help any of you. I think Randy's idea of a central clearinghouse of low cost/free parts that we are willing to share is an excellent one. If someone more computer versed than I could set up some kind of a list that we could update as parts are made available and as they are no longer available, it would be great. That would eliminate the shipping to a central point and the physical storage thing, but still provide the "parts warehouse" aspect of his idea.
