I watched several pass through the Ercoupe Owners Club Classifieds but I wasn't
in a position to buy. There is also Trade-A-Plane and Barnstormers. I bought
mine through Barnstormers at http://www.barnstormers.com/
I would have the most confidence in finding one through the Owners Club
because I consider the members to be generally honest and the advertised price
is close to market. When you do find one, before you buy, get the registration
and lien data from the FAA - costs about 10 bucks - to confirm that it is an
LSA and doesn't have an loan outstanding. A lot of them out there have been
upgraded to a 1400 lb airplane putting them out of the LSA category but are
still advertised as "possibly" qualifying. Pencil whipped would be a better
term. Fabric wings seem to be the preferred option.
