How about information from Mr. Caldwell?

The factory drawings of the spar cap show exactly 10 holes inside the fuselage
where the spar width is smaller.

Outside where tanks and walkway are fitted there are many holes. But these
don't count.

What makes the whole thing interesting is that there are 4 holes each side
where frame C meets the spar. These holes are in a pattern that can weaken the
spar as much as the holes for a bucket seat installation.

It is really obvious that as long as we don't get more data from MR. Caldwell
and Univair, we have no means to further discuss this.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Second Call to Univair

I called Jason at Univair today and asked him if he had found out anything
about the size, number, and location of holes allowed in the main spar cap. He
said that Engineering hadn't gotten back to him yet, but he would reply by
e-mail when he had something.

So the wait for information continues...
