Hey Dave: You need to call the FSDO serving the area where the airplane is  
located. Tell them that you need a ferry permit from A to B? and who the 
pilot  will be. They should ask a couple questions and then fax a ferry permit 
to you  or to the airport where the airplane is located. Am A&P will have 
to certify  the airplane safe to fly and so state in the log book. The ferry 
permit is  usually issued for 7 days at a time.

Can  anybody get me pointed in the right direction on getting a ferry 
permit?   I have a stranded plane I need to get to an airport for extensive  
upkeep.  (Not a Coupe.) We would like to avoid taking the wings  off.
