Bubbling in the fuel gauge tube is normal when the tube is not sealed properly
on top. Check the cap. If there's a crack in the cap, replace it and all the
bubbling will go away.

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Fuel Gage

I am newby, just got a 415C, SN3303. On my first flight I saw fuel bubbling up
into the fuel gage in the main tank. That later stopped, about the time I ran
the wing tanks dry. Is this normal? I have the 9 gal wing tanks and 6 gal
fuselage tank. As far as I know, it is a standard fuel configuration. Thanks
for any advice.
