Well, in previous discussion I remember there had been folks actually loosing 
the canopy in-flight.

They survived to tell the tale, the flight was probably not that pleasant.

I tried flying mine with the canopy open once and it wasn’t pleasant, nothing 
like as enjoyable as the sliding side windows.  Plus the worry that the canopy 
could come loose and take the tail out.
