I don't think it is hurt all that bad, no wing damage, no empanage damage, 
engine still OK I'll bet the mechanic wants to know what stopped the engine as 
bad as you do.  Don't overlook air bubbles in the fuel line from the header 
tank to the gascolator.  many problems can result from high angles of attack, 
and closed fuel valves.  Don't do anything hastily, and listen to "Uncle Ed!"
