I am asking myself which one it is . Anybody with a part number? Curtis made many valves . http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/curtisquickdv2.php
They are used in many fuel tanks or gascolators. Failure seems to be a rare occasion. John: I remember trying to replace the seal on one of those some time ago and thought it was a poor design for a FAA approved part. Is there an old and a new design or is the rivet design still current? New ones cost $11.25 so it is not a tremendous expense to replace the whole drain valve instead of trying to replace the seal, but just how well is the rivet attached on a new one?...
