Per Fig. 17, Ercoupe Parts Manual, the Pilot side heat muff provides
Cabin Heat, air taken from the passenger side at the rear of the engine
baffling (see item No, 17-41 and 17-12). The "Muffler" muff provides
the greatest amount of heated air for Carburetor Heat. Air is taken
from the pilot side at the rear of the engine baffling (see items No.
17-37 and 17-9).
