At annual, the mechanic recommended that I replace the fuel pump screen with one in better condition. Vern Gregory found one for me at the "Ercoupe Boneyard." Vern also warned that when reassembling, the correct torque of the bolt on top is very important. Would someone please tell me where I should look to find answers like the correct torque of the bolt on top? I once would have left it to the mechanics to figure this out, but I have found that I need to learn enough to say what I want specifically, and to double-check work. So I would like to know "where to find the answer" at least as much as I need the answer itself.
Also, is a new gasket required when the fuel pump is opened to change out the screen? Serial # is 4062. Thanks, everyone! Linda N3437H (Sky Sprite) L.A.
