Thank you.

As a Python newbie, this is a bit over my head.

Hello Gilles,

Any reason to stick at PyQt 5.11? If not, it should be possible to downgrade to
PyQt ‎5.10. I'm not sure, but the wheels for Python 3.6 should also work under
Python 3.7 (but they have to be renamed to work , if no 5.10 was released for
Python 3.7.

Betreff: [Eric] [Windows 32-bits] How to install either
PyQt5.QtWebEngineWidgets or PyQt5.QtWebKitWidgets?

Hello,

I'm a semi-newbie Python user and tried installing Eric 6 - 18.08 on a
32-bit Windows 7 host running Python 3.7.0.

The install fails because of a dependency:

============
c:\Eric Python IDE>python install.py
Checking dependencies
Python Version: 3.7.0
Found PyQt5
Found pyuic5
Found QScintilla2
Found QtGui
Found QtNetwork
Found QtPrintSupport
Found QtSql
Found QtSvg
Found QtWidgets
Sorry, please install PyQt5.QtWebEngineWidgets or PyQt5.QtWebKitWidgets.
============

The following web page says: "Note that for v5.11 and later the 32-bit
Windows wheels do not contain the WebEngine modules."
https://www.riverbankcomputing.com/software/pyqt/download5

Does it mean Eric6 is not available to 32-bit Windows 7 users? Should I
use an older version?

Thank you.
