Hi,
I had many problems with my old Erlide 0.3.33 on 3.2.2 Eclipse. CPU
hanging, plain hanging and any attempt to get out of it woudl render
the workspace dead/locked and Eclipse unable to use it.
Therefore I have installed a new 3.3.2 Eclipse, new R12B-1, new 0.3.45
Erlide. I imported an existing single source file and single hrl but
got no colour coding and all seemed dead.
I set my ERL_TOP (I was not asked this when I rebooted Eclipse btw)
to /opt/erlang and still nothing. I suspected it was the wrong level
in that tree, so I repointed it to /opt/erlang/lib/erlang
Now my Eclipse will not even get to the point to ask me where my
workspace might be before crashing out!
It has been 8+ months since I was using my old install and so I have
forgotten how I got it working (sortof). Do i just trash eclipse and
start again? - I am happy to trash this install but I want to get
things right!
Any pointers?

Hmm, it works fine for me. Not a fresh 3.3.3, but an upgraded 3.3.1.

I didn't test with java 1.7, but I don't think that could be a
problem.
What version of Erlang do you use? I think 0.3.38 doesn't support
R12B, that might be the problem.
If you can try with R11, please do so and if it still doesn't work,
please open a bug and attach the eclipse log? It's in your workspace's
.metadata/.log
I think we should make a new release soon, the current trunk is quite
stable and there are some improvements.
