Hi Asankha,

thanks for your information about your plans.

> We are currently working on scope and features for the 2.0 of the ESB
> that integrates the service hosting functionality currently provided
by
> WSAS and Data services etc. However, the exact timelines for this is
> still not finalized.
Yeah I know it is always a very hard job to decide which feature goes
into which version. This is because different people have different
focus and requirements. For example hosting services directly within the
ESB is something we probably never want to do. From my point of view the
stability of a single service and its hardware consumption should not be
able to have any (negative) impact on a central component such as an ESB
instance, but I'm sure there are other positions as well.

Even though I know the overhead involved in any release, I'm a big fan
of small releases with a manageable number of features. So personally I
would appreciate some 1.6.x or 1.x releases on the way to version 2.0
introducing major changes. It is also a means to make progress more
visible to the public and increase the interest and participation.

Good to hear that 439 will be straightforward to solve. That's what I
hoped as any other possibility to workaround this missing feature
wouldn't be nice.
It doesn't surprise me much that 239 will take more work, but I see no
other way of safely handling configuration changes.
