We apologize for that, but are happy to report that we are alive and kicking. While the fourth annual board meeting in Minho, Portugal has passed we are excited to announce some important decisions that have been made. Read below and make sure to leave us some feedback on issues you'd like to see in our (now once again alive) monthly mails. We wish you all a pleasant end of the semester enjoy the summer, have fun> but think of ESN too. On behalf of the board & with a big smile and a huge pallomeri ;-) Stefan Stefan Jaeger Regular Member of the Board ESN International [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------- New treasurer of Esn International Esn International has a new treasurer: Nick Andries, former NR of Belgium. He has been elected in Debrecen, during the last CNR meeting. The new Belgium NR is Patrick from ESN Antwerp, while Toon Macharis (ESN Gent) will remain vice-NR of Belgium. Nick's first important task concerns ESN's bank account, that will be moved to Belgium. --------------------------------------- New fundraiser of Esn International Mrton Blik, NR of Hungary, is the new fundraiser of Esn International. He has been elected in Debrecen, during the last CNR meeting. The first tasks of the new fundraiser deal with sponsoring possibilities with external companies connected with ESN Card and website (Petrus Communications) and with the renewal of existing sponsorships (Philips, Fromm). -------------------------------------- Corporate Identity ESN In Winterthur, during the second Board Meeting, the Board has given high priority to the creation of an ESN Corporate Identity. By Corporate Identity, we mean the system of graphic elements by which a brand can be identified, including a logo, colors, and fonts. In Debrecen the Corporate Identity has been well defined. All ESN products, including the web-site, letterheads, publications, PR material, etc. should follow the Corporate Identity guidelines, that have been released on the ESN Info-Centre. --------------------------------------- New InCommon Editorial Board ESN International gives a warm welcome to the new Editorial Board of Incommon, ISC Prague. InCommon can be read at http://www.incommon.info. It is important to say that this year's project is quite ambitious: the Editorial Board has decided to give a 'community layout' to InCommon, that means that everybody can post their own articles at any time, according to a pre-defined set of topics. The web-site includes also a calendar where ESN events can be attached, personal account creation, internal search of articles and much more! Since this version is Community Based, it is of utter importance to spread the voice about it and be an active contributor of InCommon, posting articles, uploading photos and adding ESN events! --------------------------------------- AGM 2004 Final Documents The final documents have been received by the board and will be soon sent to the sections after the approval of the board. ---------------------------------- ESN Card The biggest and most ambitious project of ESN for this year is the release of the ESN Card. The issue has been widely discussed in Winterthur, Debrecen and Minho. The next deadline is 1st of july, when the ESN Card proposals will be published on the web-site. By the middle of July there will be a voting on overall design, national or international sides and price. By 31st of july sections and countries should decide and order the cards. In beginning of september cards would be produced and delivered to the sections. -------------------------------------- ESN Publications ESN International wants to give importance promoting your research, that deals with ESN. If you're planning to write your thesis or you have already written articles about ESN or something that deals with exchanges, let us know! Your research will be published on the www.esn.org web-site. --------------------------------------- Cancellation of KTE The Knowledge Transfer Event (KTE) has been cancelled due to a lack of participants. Knowledge Management is a very important topic for ESN; it has been decided to have a workgroup for the subject, with potential for workshops and/or this event next year. If you are interested in the topic, please contact the Board of ESN and Toon Macharis (ESN Gent). -------------------------------------- ESN Alumni meeting ESN Alumni meeting This year, at the end of October, there will be the first Alumni meeting, that will be occur at the same time with the celebrations for the 16 years of ESN. The event will take place in Brussels. Preparations for the Alumni meeting are being made. ESN Gent will do the honours. Paul Puylaert will do the necessary as head organiser. --------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Esn-sections mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://list.esn.dk/mailman/listinfo/esn-sections ************************************************************************** * [EMAIL PROTECTED] on Suomen ESN-jaostojen yhteinen postituslista. * * * * Listoille liittymisest ja poistumisesta huolehtii [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Lhet yll mainittuun osoitteeseen shkposti, jonka TEKSTIKENTTN * * kirjoitat jonkin alla olevista komennoista: * * * * subscribe esn-sf [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * unsubscribe esn-sf [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * * * Jos et saa tolkkua ohjeista, ota yhteytt [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * * * Arkisto: www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/maillist.html * **************************************************************************
