I was just looking at the usage of dfilter_compile in Ethereal and saw
that it is used in several places. I've been adding warnings about mixing
dfilter and cfilter syntax. Do you think it would be more useful to move
the check for the use of cfilters instead of dfilters inside dfilter_compile?
In tethereal I currently do this after the dfilter_compile call in case of
an error return code.
pro: only one check instead of 10
con: yet another place where pcap code gets called
