To be precise: you need the tool omniidl from the omniOrb distribution, which is the omniORB IDL compiler . This is what the idl2eth shell script calls. The IDL compiler uses a python script written by Frank Singleton as the back end to generate the ethereal plugin C source. Once you have the C source there are a few more steps involved in getting the plugin compiled. It may be a bit of work to get it and working, at least on linux. (don't know about Windows). omniORB is available from http://www.uk.research.att.com/omniORB/omniORB.html which will point you to the new development site http://omniorb.sourceforge.net/ as the AT&T Laboratories in Cambridge have been closed.
