Download the source package, unpack it and look at the doc/ directory.
README.developer should give you a good idea what needs to be done.
There are more files that you may want to take a short look at, just to
note what's in there and return to them later as needed.
After that you may take a look at some other dissectors (packet-XYZ.c in
the toplevel directory), e.g. tftp.
Then just start coding and if questions come along as you code, just send
them to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
