Heisentraffic (traffic generated by Ethereal during a capture)?
It wouldn't handle *all* the Heisentraffic (consider a capture saving to the user's home directory when it's on an NFS server, for example), but it'd probably be a useful option.
Don't forget to check DISPLAY as well.
