If you mean "how can I capture with Ethereal in promiscuous mode?", the
answer is "don't turn off the promiscuous mode when capturing traffic.
(The answer is similar if you replace "Ethereal" with, for example,
"Tethereal", "snoop", "tcpdump", or "WinDump".)
If you mean "I tried to capture with Ethereal, but it's not putting my
NIC into promiscuous mode, because I'm not seeing any traffic except for
broadcast traffic and traffic to and from the machine that's running
Ethereal", the answer is "it probably *is* in promiscuous mode, but
you're on a switched network or a dual-speed hub":
