That appears to be the convention for Mac OS X "application bundles"; if, as, and when we make a Mac OS X "application bundle" for Ethereal, the bundle would probably be named "Ethereal.app", not "ethereal.app". Making a Mac OS X "application bundle" would first require that we make it a Carbon or Cocoa application, so that's not likely to happen in the near future; I just made "Ethereal.icns" as part of an experiment (making an application bundle out of the X11 version of Ethereal - it didn't work), and figured I might as well check it in for future use. > ./Ethereal.desktop That's also the convention, I think, for KDE/GNOME/freedesktop.org .desktop files. KDE 3.0 appears to call the desktop icon "Ethereal" even if it's "ethereal.desktop"; I don't know what GNOME would do. _______________________________________________ Ethereal-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ethereal.com/mailman/listinfo/ethereal-dev
