I don't think that providing both executables at the same time makes sense.
Thus, naming them differently doesn't make sense either :)
If you really feel you have to provide both, you should have different
file names like g1ethereal and g2ethereal - see tethereal for how it's done ;->
If one day someone feels like providing a KDE version, should that be named
kethereal or 1.99.x and then, the win32 gui would be named 1.999.x instead
of wethereal?
Misusing the version number of Ethereal for this is just that: Misuse.
