This works now. The problem was that for some reason the ecdbgm0 interface ethernet address is not set correctly after the module is loaded. If I first set the address, then bring the interface up, it works as expected.
For example: ip link set dev ecdbgm0 address 00:80:c8:f8:be:ef ip link set dev ecdbgm0 up --jbrandt Florian Pose wrote: > Hi, > > On Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 10:21:12AM -0500, Joe Brandt wrote: >> What options do I need to provide ifconfig? > > 'ifconfig ecdbgm0 up' or 'ip link set dev ecdbgm0 up' should work fine. > Do you have an application running when trying this? > > -- > Best regards, > Florian Pose > > http://etherlab.org > _______________________________________________ > etherlab-users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.etherlab.org/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users > -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/_/_/ National _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ Radio _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/____/ _/ _/ Astronomy _/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ Observatory _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ Green Bank, WV Joe Brandt (N0NYO) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (304)456-2210 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ etherlab-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.etherlab.org/mailman/listinfo/etherlab-users
