Log:
Tidied up Eric's tests so that they pause for a second before testing for
deallocation (sometimes the other thread doesn't get scheduled until the test
completes for me, so it reports failure even though the object really is
deallocated).
Added some jitter to the repreated messaging test, which should vary the size
of the message queue and let things run in different orders.
